The History of Lions Clubs International: A Century of Humanitarian Service
"Founded in 1917 by Melvin Jones, Lions Clubs International is the world’s largest service organization with 1.4 million members across over 200 countries. Spurred by Helen Keller’s 1925 call to champion the blind, the group unites local volunteers to fight vision loss, hunger, and disease under the motto We Serve."
